Milkmark is a logbook app for babies and their parents, made by JMA Republic LLC. This page says what the app collects, why, who helps us process it, and how you can delete it.
The short version: we collect what you type into the app so that it can show it back to you and to the people you choose to share it with. We do not show ads, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your data.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address and display name | Your account, and showing who logged an entry |
| What you log: feeds, sleep, diapers, growth, health notes (such as temperature, medication and symptoms), pregnancy and postpartum notes, and any notes you write | It is the app's purpose: to keep the log and show it back to you |
| A child's name, date of birth and optional photo | To label the log, show the child's age and draw growth charts |
| Photos you attach | To show them with the entry |
| A notification token for your phone | To send the notifications you switch on, and to keep a running timer on your lock screen up to date |
| Purchases (tips or the monthly Supporter option) | To thank supporters; the payment itself is handled by Apple or Google |
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifier or browsing history. The app contains no advertising or analytics software, and we do not collect crash reports.
Some of what you log is about health. It is used only to show it back to you and the people you share the log with. It is never used for advertising or shared with anyone else.
You, and the people you invite to a child's log. You choose whether each person can log or only look, and you can remove them at any time.
| Company | What for |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Sign-in, storing logs and photos, and our server code; in the United States |
| Apple and Google push services, and Expo | Delivering notifications |
| RevenueCat, with Apple and Google | Processing tips and the monthly Supporter option |
They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Until you delete it. An entry you delete can be restored for 30 days and is then erased, with its photos. A child's log you delete can be recovered for 30 days in the same way and is then erased. Deleting your account erases it, and the logs only you could access, straight away. A log you shared stays with the people who still have access to it.
Milkmark is for parents and carers. It is not intended to be used by children, and accounts are for adults. Information about a child is entered by their parent or carer.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on our providers' servers, and access rules limit each log to the people it is shared with. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Milkmark is a logbook. It does not give medical advice.
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
